Zionist terror regime persists with its operations in the West Bank, ‘ethnic cleansing’

Zionist military operations persist in the occupied West Bank, focusing on Palestinian individuals and their properties.

According to a report from the Palestinian WAFA news agency on Saturday, occupation forces conducted an incursion into the city of Tulkarm and its adjacent refugee camp. The troops positioned military vehicles throughout the streets and implemented movement restrictions for both residents and their vehicles.

Israeli soldiers conducted searches and caused damage to homes while also interrogating Palestinian residents.

High-rise buildings were commandeered and transformed into military barracks and sniper nests, with live ammunition being indiscriminately discharged onto the streets.

In a continued effort to enforce control, regime forces have upheld their blockade of the Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarm, hindering the operation of ambulances and restricting the movement of medical personnel.

A recent report highlights the critical humanitarian crisis unfolding in the Tulkarm refugee camp, where inhabitants are grappling with acute shortages of essential resources such as water, food, medical supplies, and infant formula.

Israeli military operations were similarly reported in the villages of Deir Qadis, Kharbatha Bani Harith, Nabi Saleh, Tell, and Abu Dis, according to local sources.

Security forces clashed with Palestinian individuals in the town of Azzun, situated to the east of Qalqilya.

Authorities conducted additional operations targeting the residences of two recently released Palestinian abductees in the city of al-Khalil. The raids involved the deployment of toxic gas and sound bombs, resulting in several individuals being hospitalized due to suffocation.

Palestinian Authorities Call for International Intervention Over Alleged Israeli ‘Ethnic Cleansing’ in the West Bank

On the same day, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry issued an appeal for international intervention to halt what it described as Israel’s continuous “ethnic cleansing” in the northern region of the occupied West Bank.

Reports indicate that Israeli forces have conducted operations in the refugee camps of Tulkarem, Jenin, and Far’a, allegedly displacing residents in actions that are criticized as clear violations of international law and the Geneva Conventions.

The West Bank is currently experiencing what has been described as a continuation of the Nakba, serving as a precursor to heightened occupation control and its entrenchment, potentially paving the way for annexation. This development is seen as undermining any prospects for the establishment of a Palestinian state, according to recent statements.

On January 21, the Israeli Defense Forces initiated a military operation in the occupied West Bank, asserting that the campaign aimed to target resistance fighters associated with the Jenin Battalion.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has escalated its military actions in the West Bank following the initiation of its offensive in the Gaza Strip.

Since that time, over 900 Palestinians have been reportedly killed by regime forces in the occupied West Bank, according to sources.
