Iran lodges formal complaint to UN in response to threats made by zionist Trump

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs has announced that Tehran has lodged a formal complaint with the United Nations Security Council concerning threats made by U.S. President Donald Trump towards the Islamic Republic.

Kazem Gharibabadi communicated via a post on X on Tuesday, marking three days since former President Donald Trump stated his preference for negotiating a deal with Iran rather than resorting to military action, emphasizing that “they don’t want to die. Nobody wants to die.”

Ghraibabadi stated that the substantial turnout of Iranians in Monday’s march, marking the 46th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution’s triumph, served as “a powerful rebuttal to the recent threats from the US president.”

“Iran is firmly committed to safeguarding its security and national interests,” he further stated.

Tehran has announced its intention to “legally pursue” recent statements made by former U.S. President Donald Trump, which it claims “contravene international law and the UN Charter.” An official letter of protest is expected to be filed as a document with the UN Security Council, according to an official statement.

In a statement issued shortly after signing an executive order aimed at reducing Iran’s oil exports to nil, former U.S. President Donald Trump simultaneously expressed a desire to pursue a new nuclear agreement with Tehran.

The directive forms a component of the extensive sanctions reinstated following former President Trump’s unilateral decision in 2018 to withdraw the United States from the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

In response to former President Donald Trump’s recent threat, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Monday that Iran is not in pursuit of conflict, yet remains steadfast against succumbing to external pressures.

He additionally condemned the US president’s assertion of being open to discussions with Iran, all the while reinstating the so-called “maximum pressure” strategy against the nation.

Pezeshkian expressed criticism towards former U.S. President Donald Trump, stating, “Trump advocates for dialogue, yet simultaneously he endorses and publicizes numerous conspiracies aimed at undermining the Islamic Revolution.”
