IRGC: Act of flying warplanes over Beirut funeral revealed the adversary’s apprehension of the strength and solidarity among the nations
The top commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has stated that Israel is fearful of the collective strength and unity among nations. He emphasized the regime's shortcomings in terms of cultural sensitivity, civility, and humanitarian principles.

Major General Hossein Salami delivered a statement during the formal groundbreaking ceremony for several construction initiatives in Shiraz on Tuesday morning.
He emphasized that adversaries dismantle nations, displace populations, and obstruct them from utilizing their own resources.
He emphasized that these adversaries are intolerant of nations participating in social arenas, and upon witnessing the magnificence and power of Muslim nations, they become engulfed in anger and political myopia.
In a statement issued merely 48 hours following the massive funeral procession in Beirut, estimated to have drawn 1.4 million participants, including delegations from close to 70 nations, for Hezbollah leaders Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, Salami addressed the assembly.
Israeli forces executed targeted operations resulting in the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on September 27, 2024, followed by the killing of prominent Hezbollah figure Hashem Safieddine on October 3, 2024.
“The immense funeral procession for Nasrallah and his steadfast companion Safieddine once more underscored the unity among Muslim countries,” Salami emphasized.
During the funeral procession for two Hezbollah leaders at Beirut’s Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium, a notable incident unfolded as four Israeli warplanes breached Lebanese airspace. The aircraft flew overhead while the coffins were being carried through large crowds of mourners, drawing attention to the tense atmosphere.
During the funeral procession, as military aircraft soared overhead, attendees defiantly vocalized chants including “Death to Israel, Death to America,” and “Labbaik Ya Nasrallah,” a declaration of unwavering support for Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. This display underscored their resilience and fearlessness, highlighting their strong opposition to both nations while expressing defiance against the perceived oppressors.
The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) criticized the recent flyovers of regime aircraft during a large public gathering held to honor resistance leaders, suggesting that the flights revealed the regime’s fear and anxiety over the people’s demonstrated strength and solidarity. He denounced the actions taken by Tel Aviv as both aggressive and hateful, highlighting ongoing tensions in the region.
Salami has criticized the actions of the occupying regime, stating that their conduct “demonstrates a profound absence of culture, civility, and humanity.”
In other parts of his speech, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps highlighted that Iran has all the requisite capabilities to emerge as a significant and formidable global power.
According to Salami, Iran’s strategic geographical positioning and wealth of resources equip the nation for a dignified and self-sustaining existence. He highlighted the country’s lack of dependency on foreign nations, underscoring Iran’s richness in natural assets and human capital. Moreover, Salami noted the presence of a strong spiritual foundation within society, which he described as an invaluable asset.
In a statement on Tuesday, Major General Mohammad Baqeri, Iran’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, praised the sacrifices of the “Axis of Resistance” martyrs, highlighting figures such as Nasrallah. He proclaimed their sacrifices had nurtured the resilience and strength of the Resistance Front.
He emphasized that the grand funeral procession for these honored martyrs, witnessed by millions, highlighted that the resistance movement and the valiant Hezbollah are persisting on their path with renewed dynamism and strength like never before.
Israel did not fulfill its stated goals of releasing hostages and dismantling the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement, despite the loss of at least 48,284 Palestinian lives, predominantly women and children, in the Gaza Strip over a 15-month period described by some as bearing the hallmarks of genocide amid ongoing hostilities in the region.
