IRGC Cmdr: Iran’s adversaries have not yet experienced significant retaliatory actions

The top commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has highlighted the nation's military and defense prowess, emphasizing that despite a series of retaliatory attacks and operations conducted over the past year, Iran's adversaries have not yet suffered "serious" setbacks.

Major General Hossein Salami delivered his statements on Wednesday during an address to IRGC units and Basij volunteer forces involved in the joint exercises, designated as Payambar-e-A’zam (The Great Prophet) 19, taking place in Markazi Province.

Salami asserted that Iran possesses a formidable strength capable of impacting global dynamics. He warned adversaries to remain vigilant against Iran’s forceful actions, citing the example of Operation True Promise 1 and 2 conducted last year against territories under Israeli occupation.

The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) emphasized Iran’s unified strength and potential global impact, asserting that the nation holds significant power. He further stated that adversaries have yet to experience a substantial response from Iran. According to the IRGC chief, the actions witnessed in the “True Promise” operations thus far serve merely as a preliminary warning and a demonstration of capability.

The Islamic Republic has issued a stern warning to its adversaries, cautioning that any failure to heed the lessons of its 46-year history will result in the same defeat and disgrace that opponents have encountered over the decades. The statement underscores Iran’s ongoing commitment to progress and resilience in the face of external pressures.

General Salami emphasized that Iran has significantly strengthened and remains autonomous and formidable over the years. He noted that the Islamic Republic is deeply rooted in a philosophy that is impervious to external challenges, with enduring ideals centered around struggle, independence, and freedom.

The chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has asserted that efforts by the United States and Israel to politically isolate Iran have been unsuccessful. These efforts, which involved strategic psychological operations aimed at undermining Iran’s position and influencing its citizens, ultimately failed, according to the IRGC leader.

In a statement, Salami highlighted that efforts by Washington and Tel Aviv to overcome the Gaza Strip and subdue the Palestinian resistance within the blockaded area have not been successful.

In a series of retaliatory actions last year, Iran launched a volley of missiles targeting military, intelligence, and espionage facilities associated with Israel in July and October.

The operations were conducted in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza following the reported assassinations of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah figurehead Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan.
