Iran Calls for End to UK’s Unconstructive Approaches

The Iranian Foreign Ministry rejected British officials’ baseless assertions about Tehran’s attempts to threaten the UK’s national security.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei on Wednesday dismissed the claims, calling for an end to the UK’s unconstructive approaches toward Iran and the West Asia region.
Baqaei reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to the principles of the UN Charter and international law, particularly the principles of mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries as well as respect for international rules and regulations.
He stressed that the allegations by British officials about Iran threatening the UK’s internal security are not only unfounded and false but also a deliberate form of projection by a government that has a long history of harmful interventions against the Iranian people and that currently does not miss any opportunity to host and support anti-Iran terrorist groups, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
Baqaei advised British officials to abandon their misguided policies against the Iranian people and stop promoting terrorism instead of insisting on confrontational policies and baseless accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
