Syria in Last 24 Hours: Infighting Intensifies among Rival Terrorist Groups in Idlib Province
Infighting among foreign-backed terrorist groups intensified in Northwestern Syria.
Hundreds of terrorists were killed in fierce fighting between the Al-Nusra Front and its rival so-called Syrian Revolutionary Front in Idlib countryside.
The Al-Nusra Front and the Syrian Revolutionary Front resumed their fighting on October 27 after several months of truce.
The Al-Nusra Front on its Twitter page announced that it has seized 10 tanks, 4 vehicles, 80 BGM-71 TOW (Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided) missiles, 130 cannons and an arms cache from the rival terrorist group.
Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian army targeted militants’ strongholds in the outskirts of Hama and al-Quneitra provinces, killing and wounding a large number of anti-government fighters in the battlefronts.
The Syrian troops raided militants’ centers in Um Batina road in Quneitra countryside which resulted in the killing, wounding and capture of a large number of militiamen.
The army also thwarted an attempt by a terrorist group to infiltrate al-Habbariyeh from Deir Maker in the countryside of the Southwestern province, killing most of the group’s members and wounding others.
Meantime, the Central Hama province was the scene of heavy clashes between the Syrian soldiers and foreign-backed militants in Jana al-Albawi, al-Sayyaed, Uqairabat, Qastal Janoubi, al-Hanoutiye, Hamadi Omar, Kafr Zeta, and Jurouh where too many insurgents were killed and injured and so many others fled the battlefields.
Elsewhere, the Syrian army staged massive attacks against militants’ gathering centers in the countryside of Homs province, killing, wounding and arresting a huge number of militants in the battlefields.
Army soldiers killed and wounded too many insurgents in the villages of Salam Sahrqi, al-Musherfa, Arshouna, al-Quneitrat, al-Qastal al-Tahtani, al-Qastal al-Fokani, Tuloul al-Humer in the countryside of Central Province of Homs and captured so many others.
Militants’ gathering centers in Jabab Hamad, al-Fasdeh, the surroundings of Jazal, Twainan, al-Tadmuriye, Khirbet Masto, and around al-Shaer and al-Muhr fields in Homs countryside were also targeted by the Syrian soldiers who gained upper hand in the battlefronts and killed so many anti-government fighters.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.
The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.
As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.
