Syrian president urges bolster of ties with Iran
The Syrian President, Bashar Assad, has urged the reinforcement of mutual cooperation with Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to IRIB World Service on Wednesday, the Syrian president, in a letter to his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rohani, has called for reinforcement of mutual cooperation between the two countries to prevent the infiltration of the US and Zionist regime of Israel.
The Iranian president, in a meeting with the Syrian Premier, Wael al-Halqi, on Tuesday afternoon, noted that the Syrian nation and army have courageously stood up against all conspiracies and a full-scale war in the past four years.
President Rohani added that the steadfastness of the Syrian army and nation against terrorists showed that the line of resistance cannot be broken or a legitimate government cannot be toppled via provision of financial and military assistance to terrorists.
The Syrian premier arrived in Tehran on Monday night to meet and confer with the senior Iranian officials about bilateral ties and regional developments, especially the developments in Syria.
