More Villages and Tribes Join Revolt against ISIL in Deir Ezzor
Locals of al-Abd village in the countryside of the eastern province of Deir Ezzor clashed with terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) following the latter’s kidnapping of more residents, state-run SANA news agency reported.
More villages are joining the tribal revolt against the terrorist organization in the province, which has recently amounted to tribesmen repeatedly engaging in confrontations and armed clashes with ISIS, which has crossed all limits of brutality, perpetrating crimes of murder, rape, abduction and crucifixion.
SANA reporter said ISIS kidnapped 20 citizens from al-Abd village, located 5 km from Deir Ezzor city center, and led them to an unknown destination, prompting the locals to clash with the terrorist organization.
Reports of such clashes have been coming out frequently, the latest were two days ago when residents of Sbeikhan, al-Dweir and al-Keshkiyeh in al-Mayadeen and al-Bukamal clashed with ISIS terrorists after three more civilians from al-Sh’eitat tribe were executed.
Earlier, six civilians from Sbeikhan town were killed, mutilated and crucified by ISIS members at al-Tayara roundabout, causing clashes to break out.
ISIS terrorists have suffered considerable losses during the confrontations. An SUV vehicle equipped with a heavy machine gun belonging to the organization was destroyed by the locals of Sbeikhan and al-Dweir, which resulted in the killing of 7 terrorists aboard it.
