Former IRGC Top Commander: Hezbollah to Retaliate Recent Israeli Assassination
Former commander of the IRGC and the present secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council, Mohsen Rezayee, underlined that the Lebanese Hezbollah group will retaliate against Israel’s Sunday air raid on a Syrian town that killed several Hezbollah members and an Iranian General.
An Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) war veteran commander, Brigadier General Mohammad Ali Allahdadi, was killed by the Israeli helicopter gunships while providing military counseling services to the Syrian forces in their fight against the Takfiri terrorists. The General was killed along with a number of Hezbollah members in Quneitra in Syria’s Golan Heights on Sunday.
In addition to Brigadier General Allahdadi, the Israeli helicopter strike killed the son of slain Hezbollah top commander Imad Mughniyeh and 4 others.
Rezayee said that Israel is concerned about the measures taken by the Syrian and Lebanese people against the Takfiri terrorists present at the Israeli borders with whom the regime has close ties.
“A part of the al-Nusrah Front is present in the Southern parts of Quneitra and receives munitions through Israel,” he said.
Rezayee said the Israelis are concerned that their relations with the Takfiris would be cut, and stressed, “The resistance groups are working based on a very specific strategy and they don’t give up that strategy due to such incidents.”
“The pivot of resistance will retaliate the Israeli attack in due time,” he reiterated.
In relevant remarks on Tuesday, Commander of the IRGC Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari warned Tel Aviv of the devastating response of the regional resistance movements to Israel’s recent air raid on the Syrian Golan Heights.
“The IRGC will remain steadfast on the path to the collapse of the Zionist regime of Israel through its continued support for the Lebanese and Palestinian combatants, but this time it supports will be on a scale larger than its supports during the 33-day and 51-day wars against the Israeli army,” General Jafari said in a message released on the occasion of the martyrdom of Allahdadi.
The Iranian top commander said resistance groups in the region would soon give a crushing response to Israel’s Sunday raid.
“The Zionists must wait for the devastating thunderbolts of the anti-Israel resistance groups in the region,” the Iranian commander warned.
