Aleppo Battle Map Update: Syrian Army Maintains Their Ground in the North

The Al-Qaeda branch in Syria “Jabhat Al-Nusra” (Al-Nusra Front) was able to reverse much of the gains the National Defense Forces attained over the course of three days; however, the Syrian Arab Air Force’s (SAAF) reemergence in the northern front has forestalled the militant counter-offensive.

On Saturday, Jabhat Al-Nusra attempted to recapture the town of Bashkoy located directly east of Hardatineen and Ratyan, but they were unable to break-through the NDF’s defenses.

The majority of the firefights between the NDF and Jabhat Al-Nusra would take place at Mazra’a Al-Malaah and Duweir Al-Zeitoun, where both forces traded blows, while attempting to improve their positions.
