Breaking: Syrian Army and Hezbollah Capture 3 Towns in Northern Dara’a
The Syrian Arab Army’s 9th Armored Division and Hezbollah have secured three imperative towns in northern Dara’a from the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda “Jabhat Al-Nusra” (Al-Nusra Front) after almost two straight weeks of fierce firefights in this area.
The first area that was captured by the 9th Division was Al-Habariyah; this town on the border of the Rif Dimashq Governorate was the scene of immense violence this week, as the SAA contingent carried out a fierce assault to advance to nearby Tal Qareen.
As a result of their success at Al-Habariyah, the 9th Division advanced to Tal Qareen, where Hezbollah was engaged in a violent confrontation with the Al-Nusra Front and 1st Brigade of the Free Syrian Army (FSA).
Within two hours of their advance, the 9th Division and Hezbollah steamrolled the enemy combatants at Tal Qareen, securing the area after killing over 20 militants.
Immediately after their capture of Tal Qareen, another contingent from the 9th Division declared the town of Sibsiba under complete Syrian Army control; this town is located directly north of the besieged Kafr Nissaj.
Intense firefights flooded the town of Al-Sultaniyah, as a contingent from the 9th Division – in cooperation with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) – advanced further south in this area bordering Himrit.
