Another Significant Al-Qaeda Terrorist Leader Killed in Syria
Four days after losing their lead strategist in northern Syria, the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” (Victory Front) has suffered another significant casualty in the province of Idlib.
The Jabhat Al-Nusra Spokesman, Radwan Nimous (AKA: “Abu Firaas Al-Souri”) was reportedly killed during an Anti-ISIS Coalition air raid at the village of Atmah in northwestern Idlib on Sunday morning.
According to Syrian Opposition social media activists, the air raid was conducted by the United States Air Force and their target was a refugee camp – the activists also claimed as many as 10 civilians were killed and another 50 were wounded as a result.
Jabhat Al-Nusra’s leadership has been the recent target of the Anti-ISIS Coalition (specifically the U.S.’) and Syrian Arab Air Force’s airstrikes in the Idlib Governorate; this is believed to be true for the U.S. after the disbandment of their “moderate” rebel group “Harakat Hazzm” (Movement of Steadfastness) in northern Syria.
