Al-Nusra Front Terrorists Sustain Heavy Losses in Syrian Army Offensive in Dara’a City
Battlefield sources disclosed that the Syrian army targeted the fortified military positions of al-Nusra Front terrorist group in Dara’a al-Balad region.
The Syrian army units attacked the al-Nusra Front’s concentration centers in the surrounding areas of al-Barid building in al-Karak region of Dara’a al-Balad.
Several Takfiri terrorists were killed and wounded in the Syrian army attack in Dara’a al-Balad.
The terrorists’ military hardware and equipment were also destroyed in the Syrian army attack.
The Syrian army also destroyed the artillery units and military vehicles of al-Nusra terrorists in Basri al-Sham region of Dara’a.
In a relevant development on Friday, the Syrian army men hit the positions of the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front in Dara’a al-Balad neighborhood, city sources said, adding that the terrorists suffered a heavy death toll in pro-government forces’ attacks.
“Al-Nusra’s centers in Western side of al-Bajabjeh neighborhood and near al-Jomrok al-Qadeem (Old Custom) in Dara’a al-Balad, which left scores of the militants dead or wounded,” the sources said.
Reports said earlier on Friday that Syrian Army’s engineering units detonated several bombs on the way of a long convoy of terrorist groups’ vehicles on a road in Northern Dara’a, leaving several militants dead and several more wounded.
The Syrian army’s 5th Armored Division, in an ambush, detonated a roadside bomb as soon as the convoy of terrorists approached the targeted site in Northern Dara’a, which ended in the killing 6 militants and wounding several more.
Terrorists’ vehicles also sustained major damage in the attacks.
