Army commander issues warning to ‘israel’: Standby for Iran and Resistance Front’s reaction to Nasrallah’s assassination
The Iranian Army's chief commander has issued a stern warning to Israel, urging the nation to "be prepared" for imminent repercussions. This declaration follows the recent assassination of Hezbollah's Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and highlights that the Islamic Republic, along with allied forces within the regional Axis of Resistance, is poised to respond decisively.
Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi declared on Monday that the blood of Sayyed Hassan would inevitably lead to the downfall of the Zionist regime and its supporters.
He characterized the assassination as an action executed by “Zionists, driven by their erroneous materialistic ideology,” with which “they believed they would achieve success.”
“The commander remarked that the actions of the opposing forces are only exacerbating their downfall, adding, ‘The Zionists are accelerating their path to destruction.’”
In recent comments, it was stated that the sacrifice of martyrs exponentially amplifies their impact, with the potential to become an overwhelmingly powerful force. The official emphasized that Hezbollah intends to significantly bolster its capabilities moving forward.
The leader of the Lebanese resistance movement was killed on Friday amid heavy Israeli airstrikes targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut. The airstrikes are part of a broader escalation by Israel against Lebanon.
In the wake of the assassination, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, declared that the resistance front is poised to deliver more devastating strikes to what he described as the “dilapidated and decaying body” of the Zionist regime.
On Sunday, President Masoud Pezeshkian pledged that the heinous act would be met with a definitive response, emphasizing the urgency for the Islamic Republic to deliver a “decisive” reprisal against the culpable regime.
‘Israeli Miscalculation’
In the meantime, Mousavi criticized efforts by the Israeli regime and its allies to frame the atrocity as a “victory.”
He characterized these actions as a “psychological operation” designed to curry favor with their superiors and domestic audiences, portraying the assassination as a “triumph” orchestrated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The commander remarked that these initiatives were driven by “materialistic standards” and meticulous “calculations.” However, he emphasized that these calculations have consistently been incorrect over the years.
