At least 87 individuals have been reported as dead or missing following sustained zionist airstrikes targeting the northern city of Gaza

At least 87 individuals have been reported as either deceased or unaccounted for amid continuous Israeli airstrikes targeting several residential structures in Beit Lahia, located in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Gaza Media Office has reported that multiple individuals sustained injuries following a series of overnight attacks leading into Sunday.

“The death toll is anticipated to increase as medical resources in northern Gaza become depleted, with hospitals closing following repeated Israeli strikes, paramedics and shelters being targeted, and the intensifying siege exacerbating the situation,” the statement indicated.

The Israeli military launched strikes on a building deemed a safe haven by families seeking refuge, without issuing any prior warning, according to information provided by the office.

Reports indicate that the ongoing conflict involving Israeli military operations in Gaza has resulted in significant casualties, with at least 42,519 Palestinians reportedly killed and 99,637 others injured since October last year. Women and children are said to constitute the majority of those affected amidst these hostilities.

In the meantime, the Israeli military is reportedly taking measures to “prevent any documentation of the massacre,” according to statements from the office, amid what has been described as a notable absence of international response.

In a press conference held on Saturday, Sami Abu Zuhri, a senior spokesman for the Gaza-based resistance group Hamas, accused the military of conducting an intense bombing campaign in northern Gaza. According to Zuhri, this offensive has been ongoing for the past five days and is impacting over 200,000 Palestinians in the region.

The campaign, particularly concentrated on the city of Jabalia and its neighboring areas, was designed to execute the “malicious strategies of the regime’s generals,” targeting the displacement of local populations and accusations of genocide through the intensified bombardment of residential zones and refugee shelters within educational institutions, he stated.

According to an official source, as part of their campaign, Israeli forces are allegedly employing tactics that involve placing explosive devices within buildings for remote detonation. Additionally, they are reportedly obstructing the delivery of fuel to hospitals, impeding the flow of food and medical supplies, disrupting communications and internet access, and imposing blockades and airstrikes on medical facilities.

Zuhri alleged that the communication and internet blackout enforced by the Israeli military was intended to obscure the regime’s actions and suppress the transmission of what he described as a “daily massacre and holocaust” to the global audience.

He condemned the actions taking place in northern Gaza by Israeli forces, describing them as “an outright genocide and execution of our nation’s people residing there,” asserting that it constitutes a “flagrant breach of international humanitarian law and all relevant international treaties and conventions.”

Zuhri has categorically dismissed the government’s claims regarding the presence of safe zones or corridors available for Gazans to escape the ongoing assaults.

“There appears to be no secure refuge amidst the regime’s increased and indiscriminate bombardment, characterized by what many are describing as barbaric actions. The occupation, criticized as fascist by opposition voices, allegedly targets individuals who move from the north towards areas and corridors declared safe by authorities, with reports of executions or arrests.”

The spokesperson attributed full responsibility for the repercussions of the alleged genocide to the United States and its Western allies, notably the United Kingdom and Germany. This accusation stems from their provision of military weaponry to Israeli forces and their political support extended to the regime.

He emphasized that the Palestinian population remains steadfast in their commitment to resistance as their sole recourse, consistently opposing aggression and undermining efforts aimed at displacement and the dissolution of the Palestinian cause.

He asserted that this determination would persist until the full liberation of Palestine from the constraints of occupation is achieved.
