Ayatollah Khamenei: Zionist Regime Must Realize Iran’s Power
The power and determination of Iran must be taught to the Zionist regime, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said after the recent Israeli act of aggression against Iran.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remark in a meeting with the families of martyrs of security, held in Tehran on Sunday, October 27.
During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei underscored the importance of security as a foundational pillar in all aspects of society and everyday life. He emphasized, “Only a strong Iran can ensure and guarantee the security and progress of the country and its people. Therefore, Iran must become stronger every day in all economic, scientific, political, defense, and managerial dimensions.”
The Leader also referred to the evildoings perpetrated by the Zionist regime against Iran in the early hours of Saturday. He noted that, while the usurping regime seeks to magnify these actions for its own specific agenda, it would be equally misguided to downplay the incident and dismiss it as insignificant or unimportant, khamenei.ir reported.
The Leader emphasized the necessity of disrupting the flawed calculations of the Zionist regime regarding Iran. He stated, “They’re making a miscalculation with respect to Iran. They don’t know Iran. They don’t know the Iranian youth. They don’t know the Iranian people. They still haven’t been able to correctly understand the power, capability, ingenuity, and determination of the Iranian people. We need to make them understand these things.”
“Of course, our officials should be the ones to assess and precisely apprehend what needs to be done and do whatever is in the best interests of this country and nation. They (the enemy) must be made to realize who the Iranian people are and what the Iranian youth are like,” he added.
The Leader emphasized that the Iranian people’s mindset, motivation, readiness, and courage should be maintained, as these qualities are essential for fostering security.
In explaining the main and essential element of ensuring and maintaining security, he remarked that certain individuals, through a misguided analysis and perception, imagine that refraining from producing tools that could provoke the Arrogant Powers, such as missiles, can bring security for Iran. However, this false belief and perception is in fact telling our nation and officials to keep the country weak in order to maintain security.
Ayatollah Khamenei regarded the tragedy of Iran’s occupation during the First and Second World Wars, despite the nation’s officially proclaimed neutrality, as an outcome of the misguided policies implemented by incompetent or treacherous and subservient leaders. He further asserted that by neglecting the true sources of power, these rulers relegated the Iranian nation to a state of humiliation and weakness, where they were incapable of ensuring their own security.
Elsewhere in his speech, the Leader condemned the appalling atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza, highlighting the martyrdom of ten thousand children and over ten thousand women as emblematic of the most horrific war crimes. He strongly criticized the significant shortcomings of governments and international organizations, including the United Nations, in confronting the actions of the Zionist regime in both Gaza and Lebanon.
“War operates within a framework of rules, laws, and limitations. These limitations can’t just be disregarded during a war. However, the criminal gang ruling over the occupied lands has trampled all boundaries and rules underfoot,” he remarked.
The Leader underscored the imperative for governments, Islamic ones in particular, to oppose the criminal Zionist regime and to establish a global coalition against this tyrannical entity. He further articulated that standing against the Zionist regime extends beyond the mere cessation of economic support, as “the provision of assistance to this usurping authority constitutes one of the gravest and most abhorrent sins.” Ayatollah Khamenei asserted that, “standing against the usurping regime necessitates the creation of a global political, economic, and, if necessary, military coalition to confront this evil regime, which perpetrates the most horrific war crimes.”
Elsewhere in his speech, the Leader emphasized the importance of psychological security for the Iranian people. He highlighted the use of soft warfare tools alongside hard warfare by the ill-wishers of nations and countries, stating, “Creating an unsafe psychological environment in society is one aspect of this soft war and everyone has seen how they utilize social media to advance their goals.”
At the conclusion of this section of his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei addressed the families of the Martyrs of Security. “Be proud and take pride in your martyrs, for if it weren’t for them and other protectors of our security, numerous problems would have arisen for our country and nation,” he stated.
