Bahraini resistance pledges to uphold Nasrallah’s legacy

Bahraini resistance organizations and an opposition faction have denounced the Israeli assassination of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, emphasizing that the legacy and mission of the distinguished resistance leader will persist.

The Israeli military conducted an extensive bombardment in the Dahiyeh district of southern Beirut on Friday, targeting multiple residential buildings. The strikes resulted in the deaths of Nasrallah and several senior Hezbollah figures, alongside numerous civilians.

The lethal assault occurred amid heightened tensions between the Lebanese resistance movement and the occupying forces.

Over the past week, the situation has intensified, resulting in the loss of hundreds of lives in and around Beirut. The violence has encompassed various acts of terrorism, including indiscriminate bombings of residential neighborhoods, targeted assassinations of resistance leaders, and the destruction of Hezbollah communication devices.

The February 14 Youth Coalition, Bahrain’s opposition group, has extended its condolences over the martyrdom of Nasrallah, commending him as a courageous leader who “never feared the brutality” of the Israeli regime. The coalition hailed him as a “martyr on the path to Jerusalem [al-Quds].”

In a resolute statement, fervent supporters vowed to honor the legacy of the fallen secretary by steadfastly upholding his mission. They committed to persist in confronting adversaries, championing the rights of the oppressed, and focusing particularly on national issues, with a special emphasis on Palestine.

Hezbollah is poised to navigate this phase effectively, striving to fulfill the vision of their revered martyr which includes the toppling of the occupying entity, the liberation of Jerusalem (al-Quds), and the eventual act of praying in the al-Aqsa Mosque.

The February 14 Youth Coalition has announced a period of national mourning in Bahrain, urging citizens to participate in large-scale demonstrations to protest against what they describe as an Israeli-American atrocity.

In a joint statement, the Bahraini resistance factions, specifically the Islamic Resistance in Bahrain, Saraya al-Ashtar, and the Saraya Wa’ad Allah, also recognized as the Wa’ad Allah Brigades, denounced the assassination and urged retribution for Nasrallah’s death.

The joint statement has appealed to the citizens of Bahrain, urging them to take action and avenge the blood of their revered leader. It declared that any Zionist individual present on Bahraini soil is a legitimate target, framing them as adversaries in a divine conflict against Allah and His messengers.

“The unwavering support from the esteemed Master for the populace and his substantial efforts to combat their injustices remain unforgettable. He consistently championed their cause through both rhetoric and action. Let us honor Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah by displaying his images prominently, decorating our villages and towns with the iconic yellow flag, and instilling admiration for him in the hearts of future generations.”

Bahraini resistance factions extended their prayers for patience and comfort to Nasrallah’s family, while reaffirming their unwavering commitment to the cause of resistance.

For over three decades, Nasrallah has been at the helm of Hezbollah. His leadership commenced in 1992 when, at the age of 32, he was elected as the secretary-general following the assassination of his predecessor, Sayyed Abbas al-Musawi, by an Israeli helicopter gunship.

The assassination occurred amidst an escalating campaign by the regime against Hezbollah. Israel has been conducting operations in Lebanon since October 7, 2023, when it initiated extensive military strikes in the Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah has launched multiple retaliatory operations in response to aggression, including the deployment of a hypersonic ballistic missile against targets in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Lebanese resistance movement has pledged to persist with its operations against Israel as long as the Israeli regime’s ongoing conflict in Gaza continues, which has resulted in the deaths of over 41,500 Palestinians, predominantly women and children.
