China calls for necessity of achieving a permanent truce in the Gaza Strip

New York, SANA- China reiterated the necessity of achieving a permanent truce in the Gaza Strip and reaching a complete ceasefire.

China’s position is clear, and we reiterate the necessity of reaching a complete ceasefire to avoid further humanitarian disasters, Xinhua news agency quoted Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi as saying on Tuesday during his meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the UN headquarters in New York.

Wang also stressed the need to ensure unhindered access of humanitarian supplies to Gaza.

China had previously expressed its welcome to all efforts that help achieve permanent truce in Gaza Strip and stop the Israeli aggression on it.
