Cleric praises Islamic Revolution for its commendable support of the Sunni community

Abdolbaset Gharehbash, a prominent Sunni cleric and leader of the Islamic Center in Gonbad-e Kavus, announced that the Islamic Revolution in Iran has brought significant advancements in infrastructure and public services for the Sunni population nationwide, with Golestan Province being a notable beneficiary. The enhancements encompass sectors such as transportation, utilities like water, electricity, and gas, as well as telecommunications, agriculture, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities.

In an exclusive interview with IRNA on Tuesday, a prominent Sunni cleric praised the services delivered by the Islamic Republic over the past 46 years, describing them as unparalleled compared to those offered by the previous regime.

He noted that prior to the Islamic Revolution, the state of seminaries, schools, and mosques in Sunni regions was inadequate. However, there has been a noticeable improvement in the attention given to the Sunni community, particularly under the guidance of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The cleric announced that Sunni elites and qualified individuals have been appointed to key state positions, a strategic effort to foster practical unity.

Furthermore, the cleric asserted that the Islamic framework has bolstered a sense of unity and resilience among Iranians on a global scale.

He called upon the Iranian populace to engage in the forthcoming nationwide rally on February 10, commemorating the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s triumph.
