Commanders and senior officials of Iran’s Navy convened for discussions with the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who also serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces. The meeting was held to commemorate the National Day of the Navy on the 7th of Iranian Azar, corresponding to November 27.
During a meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that the primary focus of the armed forces, particularly the navy, should be on enhancing readiness and combat capability in all activities and planning efforts.
The Supreme Leader emphasized the crucial role of the armed forces in deterring any potential invasion. He asserted that it is essential to showcase the nation’s military capabilities and readiness to adversaries, ensuring they recognize that any aggressive action against Iran would result in significant repercussions.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the importance of ongoing maritime operations, stating that the public should be informed about the 86th Fleet’s mission and its specifics through artistic expression, as previously suggested.
At the outset of the meeting, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander of the Iranian Army Navy, presented a comprehensive report detailing the strategic plans and operational activities across various divisions of the naval forces.

Observed annually on November 28, the Iranian calendar designates this day as the National Day of the Navy.
