Defense Minister visits army personnel in their positions on occasion of Eid al-Fitr

Damascus, SANA- Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad the Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Defense Minister, Major Gen. Ali Mahmoud Abbas paid a field visit to an army formation operating in the coastal region.

During the filed visit, Abbas met with field commanders and conveyed to them greetings from President al-Assad on Eid with wishes for health and success.

The Defense Minister was briefed by field commanders on the detailed explanation of the missions carried out by our forces operating in this army formation.

Minister Abbas stressed that the heroism and sacrifices made by army men on all fronts, which proved the efficiency of the Syrian fighter and his courage in confronting the challenges and dangers.

For their part, the fighters affirmed that they are fully prepared and ready to confront any attack on the security and stability of the nation, as well as they will always remain loyal to their homeland.

Later, Minister Abbas visited the Tishreen Military Hospital and met with the wounded and congratulated them on the Eid, wishing them and their families good health.

On this occasion, military commanders visited martyrs’ graveyards and placed wreaths on behalf of President al-Assad at memorials there.
