DM: Iraq to Liberate ISIL-Seized Mosul without Foreign Help
The Iraqi defense minister said on Wednesday his country’s forces will take the city of Mosul back from ISIL without assistance of foreign forces.
“All the battles to the city of Mosul will be carried out by Iraqi forces exclusively; in planning, timing and execution,” the Iraqi minister, Khalid al-Obiedi, told reporters at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Ismet Yilmaz in Baghdad, Xinhua reported.
“Iraq will not ask for assistance of any other forces for the battles against ISIL militants,” Obiedi said.
