Female Palestinian journalist has been fatally shot during a raid by traitor Abbas forces
A Palestinian journalist was fatally shot in the head during a raid conducted by Palestinian Authority forces at the Jenin refugee camp in the northern sector of the occupied West Bank.
The family of Shaza al-Sabbagh has reported that their daughter was en route to a grocery store when she was allegedly struck by gunfire emanating from a Palestinian Authority forces military checkpoint situated in close proximity to their residence.
According to a statement from Colonel Anwar Rajab, a spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority’s security forces, the troops were reportedly not in the vicinity when the shooting incident occurred.
The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has called for an investigation into the death of Shaza al-Sabbagh, a reported journalism student at al-Quds Open University.
The group has issued a call for the establishment of an independent committee tasked with “uncovering the truth, holding those responsible for the killings accountable, and ensuring they face appropriate consequences.”
Sabbagh has become the eleventh casualty in the ongoing operation by Palestinian Authority forces in the Jenin refugee camp. This campaign, which began three weeks ago, aims to eliminate what authorities describe as “lawless elements” in the area.
In a statement issued earlier this month, the Hamas resistance movement criticized Palestinian Authority forces for the killing of a commander from the Islamic Jihad group during a raid in the occupied West Bank. Hamas cautioned that such actions risk exacerbating the longstanding divisions among Palestinian factions.
In a statement issued on December 14, the Gaza-based faction extended its condolences following the shooting death of Yazid Jaya’isa, a prominent figure within the Jenin Brigade, who was killed in the Jenin refugee camp.
According to reports, the actions of the Palestinian Authority forces in targeting resistance figures are being aligned with the agenda and actions of the occupying Israeli regime.
Hamas has condemned the attack, describing it as “a disgraceful act” that they believe will further exacerbate internal divisions at a pivotal juncture in the Palestinian struggle.
Hamas has issued a warning, stating that the continued targeting of resistance fighters is likely to exacerbate internal tensions, particularly when solidarity is crucial.
