FM spokesman: No Al-Qaeda forces in Iran
Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi on Tuesday dismissed the US charges that three terrorist Al-Qaeda forces are present in Iran.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran does not have any information at hand regarding presence of the individuals in its territory,” said Qassemi in an interview with reporters.
The US has recently claimed that three officials of the terrorist Al-Qaeda forces whom it has boycotted are in Iran.
Qassemi said Islamic Republic of Iran has always emphasized its firm determination to counter terrorist groups and it has taken all related necessary measures in line with its international commitments.
He underlined that instead of raising general claims, the US government should share clear-cut information and prepare the ground for coordinated international action against the terrorist groups.
