Foreign Ministry: Iran fully committed to making all possible efforts to restore peace and stability in Syria

In a statement released on Sunday, Iran reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to upholding Syria’s unity, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The statement emphasized that the future of Syria should be determined exclusively by its own citizens, free from any harmful foreign interference.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has advocated for the establishment of an inclusive government that represents the entire Syrian population in order to achieve this objective.

In a recent statement, the Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirmed its commitment to international frameworks supporting Syria’s political process, in alignment with UN Resolution 2254. Iran has historically endorsed these mechanisms and continues to collaborate productively with the United Nations to advance these efforts.

The announcement emphasized the imperative to safeguard the security of all Syrian citizens and foreign nationals, along with the protection of religious and sacred sites, in strict adherence to international law.
