Former zionist general indicates the gradual weakening of the ‘israeli’ army

According to retired zionist general and military expert Yitzhak Brik, current circumstances suggest that the Palestinian resistance group Hamas is gaining strength, whereas the Israeli military appears to be facing a decline in its capabilities.

In an interview with the Hebrew-language Maariv newspaper, as reported by IRNA on Thursday, Brik shared his remarks.

Hamas has strengthened its military wing and effectively governs the Gaza Strip, continuing to acquire weaponry through underground tunnels, according to the official. Meanwhile, the Israeli military is reportedly facing challenges in achieving its strategic objectives.

A former general has cautioned that the Israeli military is currently lacking the necessary ground capabilities required for a decisive victory in the conflict, suggesting that ongoing airstrikes alone may not achieve the desired outcomes.

He contended that extending the conflict aligns with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political objectives, potentially compromising the well-being of captives and ethical principles.

Brik observed that Israel’s inability to effectively counter Hamas reflects a pattern seen in its past struggles with Hezbollah, where military interventions only served to escalate threats.

He highlighted that amid increasing regional tensions, particularly with Egypt and Turkey, the current Israeli leadership is struggling to effectively tackle pressing security and strategic issues.

The general has advocated for sweeping reforms in Israel’s political and military leadership, underscoring the urgency of revamping the nation’s military, economic, and societal structures. This call to action aims to prevent a threat that could surpass the severity of the incidents witnessed on October 7, 2023.
