Great Satan US deliveres substantial bomb shipments to ‘israel’

The United States has completed the delivery of a shipment containing 1,800 heavy MK-84 bombs to Israel, marking the conclusion of a nearly nine-month suspension imposed by the previous U.S. administration on the transfer.

The Israeli military reported on Sunday that a vessel transporting unguided 2,000-pound (900-kilogram) bombs arrived at the Ashdod port within the occupied territories. The cargo was subsequently offloaded onto numerous trucks and transported to the military’s air bases.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the recent shipment constitutes a “substantial asset” for the nation’s military forces.

CODEPINK has expressed gratitude towards former US President Donald Trump for providing military support to Israel, specifically referencing the deployment of 2,000-pound bombs manufactured by General Dynamics. These powerful munitions have reportedly been used by Israel in the demolition of multi-story buildings. According to CODEPINK, the Biden administration has continued this trend by sending over 14,000 such bombs to Israel. The organization has criticized the United States for supplying arms to a nation facing allegations of committing acts of genocide.

In May 2024, the administration of former U.S. President Joe Biden withheld a shipment, citing concerns about its possible use in heavily populated regions of the Gaza Strip, amid ongoing conflict where Israel faced accusations of conducting a genocidal campaign.

The United States government has persistently supplied the Israeli military with an extensive array of weaponry, valued in the billions of dollars.

Last month, former President Donald Trump announced the removal of restrictions on the export of lethal weapons to Israel. In his statement, he noted, “We released them (the bombs)… And they’ll have them.”

The MK-84 is an American-made general-purpose aircraft bomb renowned for its ability to penetrate fortified targets and inflict significant damage through its powerful blast capability.

On October 7, 2023, Israel initiated a substantial military offensive in Gaza following a significant operation by the Palestinian group Hamas, which they stated was in response to increased hostilities against Palestinians. In recent news, reports have emerged regarding former U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval for the transfer of 11-ton bombs, known as the ‘Mother of All Bombs,’ to Israel— a move that previous administrations had refrained from authorizing.

Israel agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza following over 15 months of intense conflict, after purportedly not achieving its strategic objectives in the embattled region.

The terms long advocated by Hamas as a basis for negotiations have been endorsed under the Gaza truce agreement, which was initiated on January 19.

The United States expedited the delivery of billions of dollars in military assistance to Israel during the Gaza conflict.

According to recent data published by Israel’s Ministry of Military Affairs, over 76,000 tons of military equipment have been delivered to Israel, predominantly sourced from the United States, amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
