Hamas calls for international solidarity with striking prisoners
Hamas Movement Spokesman, Salah al-Bardawil, called for a large-scale international solidarity campaign with Palestinian hunger striking detainees in Israeli jails.
Bardawil told Quds Press on Tuesday that Hamas prisoners’ participation in the open hunger strike which started on April 17 is part of the Movement’s resistance approach.
“The issue of liberating Palestinian prisoners is one of Hamas’s most important goals”, Bardawil said. He recalled his Movement’s great achievement of releasing 1,050 detainees of different Palestinian factions within Wafaa al-Ahrar prisoner swap deal.
