Hamas is open to engaging constructively with any initiative aimed at ceasefire
Ezzat al-Resheq, a member of Hamas's political bureau, has dismissed recent proposals for a temporary ceasefire as deceptive tactics. According to al-Resheq, these suggestions fail to compel the Israeli military to cease hostilities and withdraw its troops from the Gaza Strip.
Ezzat al-Resheq, a prominent figure in Hamas’s political bureau, has dismissed recent proposals for a temporary ceasefire, labeling them as deceptive tactics. He asserts that such proposals will not compel the Israeli military to cease its operations or retreat from the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Resheq announced that his Movement is open to considering any proposals and initiatives that ensure the cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
Resheq has leveled accusations against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claiming that he is “delaying to buy time and exploiting the ceasefire talks as a facade to continue his aggressive actions.”
A Hamas official has remarked that there continues to be a reciprocal exchange of roles between the occupying forces and the United States administration in Lebanon, similar to the dynamic observed in Gaza.
