Hamas issued a strong denunciation of ‘israel’s’ directive to evacuate the Indonesian Hospital
Hamas, the Palestinian resistance group, has issued a strong condemnation of Israel's directive to evacuate the Indonesian Hospital located in the northern region of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement released on Tuesday evening, Hamas accused Israel of perpetuating war crimes and engaging in ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of Palestinians. The group condemned the alleged forced evacuation of patients and medical staff at gunpoint, describing it as an extension of these actions.
In a statement released on Tuesday evening, Hamas accused the Israeli military of forcibly evacuating medical personnel, patients, and displaced individuals from the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza at gunpoint. The group characterized these actions as part of ongoing operations they allege amount to war crimes, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement in the region.
The statement further alleged that the regime deliberately targets hospitals to render them inoperative, aiming to dismantle essential aspects of life in Gaza.
Hamas has called upon the international community to break its silence and address the actions of Israel, which it characterizes as criminal.
“The international community is urged to end its silence and perceived inaction regarding the ongoing atrocities committed by occupying forces, particularly in the context of unprecedented breaches of wartime regulations, emphasizing the necessity of safeguarding civilian infrastructure and medical facilities,” the statement asserted.
On Tuesday, Israeli forces compelled patients and medical personnel to vacate the Indonesian hospital, subsequently requiring them to travel on foot to another medical facility situated miles away in Gaza City.
According to a statement from the ministry, the three primary hospitals located in the northern territory region have ceased operations. This development comes as the area has been subjected to a prolonged and intense military offensive by Israeli forces, which has persisted for almost three months.
The Indonesian Hospital remains among the limited medical facilities in Gaza that continue to operate, albeit at a reduced capacity.

On October 7, 2023, Israel initiated a military offensive in Gaza following a surprise attack by the Palestinian group Hamas, named Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. This operation was carried out in retaliation for what Hamas describes as Israel’s prolonged history of violence and destruction directed towards Palestinians.
The regime’s intense assault on Gaza has resulted in the deaths of at least 45,338 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, as reported by the Gaza Health Ministry. Additionally, another 107,764 individuals have sustained injuries. Thousands remain unaccounted for and are feared to be trapped beneath debris.
Since October 2023, the Israeli military has consistently restricted the passage of essential humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, medical supplies, fuel, and tents, into the blockaded Palestinian region.
The territory’s vital infrastructure, including water distribution systems, sanitation facilities, and bread mills, has been completely destroyed.
