Hamas official states that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has effectively returned ‘israel’ to ‘square zero’
A senior Hamas official has stated that last year's operation conducted by the Palestinian resistance group significantly impacted Israel, effectively taking the occupying government "back to square zero."
Khaled Mashal, the leader of Hamas’s international political bureau, delivered a televised address on Monday, commemorating the one-year anniversary of the significant offensive termed Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against Israel.
He stated that the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation has reverted the occupying force back to its initial stage, challenging the very foundation of its presence.
Mashal highlighted that the operation represents a “natural response” to the ongoing occupation and the increasing settlement activities, siege, and aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied city of al-Quds.
He stated that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood marks a significant blemish in the history of the Zionist regime and signals its potential downfall in the foreseeable future.
Following Hamas’s Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which was launched in response to what they described as escalating aggressive actions by Israel towards Palestinians, Israel launched a significant military campaign in Gaza.
After a year since the commencement of its military operation, the Israeli government in Tel Aviv has yet to fulfill its stated goals of dismantling Hamas and securing the release of hostages from Gaza. This comes despite the conflict resulting in the deaths of nearly 42,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children.
Amid ongoing challenges in Gaza, Israel has escalated its military operations and aggressive actions in Lebanon.
A Hamas representative claimed that the Israeli regime initiated hostilities with Lebanon following its inability to achieve its objectives in Gaza.
He added that Israel has suffered a comprehensive defeat in the Gaza conflict, which has significantly damaged the global reputation of the Zionist regime.
Mashal extended his gratitude towards the sacrifices made by the allies of Gaza in Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, and Iraq, acknowledging their support for the Palestinian resistance and its people.
He further stated that Israel is posing threats to Egypt and Jordan, despite the existence of long-standing peace agreements with these two Arab nations.
“The adversary seeks to exert control over the entire region, targeting even those nations not actively engaged in conflict with it,” he stated. He further accused Israel of launching attacks that threaten Arab and Islamic national security across various fronts.”
