Hamas slams the US position on HR conditions in Palestine
Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, slammed the US State Department opposition to the existence of the U.N. Human Rights Council’s Agenda Item Seven, which deals with the “impact of the Israeli occupation on human rights in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories”. Hamas perceived the US position as biased to Israel.
The spokesman of Hamas Movement Fawzi Barhoum said, in a statement on Monday, that the American stand constitutes a green light to the continuation of and covering up for Israeli crimes and violations against the Palestinians.
He called for mobilizing the world public opinion in support of the Palestinian Question and for the protection of Palestinian rights.
Barhoum stressed the importance of reaching a united Palestinian national and regional position aimed at exposing Israeli crimes and violations as well as foiling the American declared bias to Israel.
