Hamas urges worldwide support for pro-Palestinian demonstrations on Quds Day
The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has issued an appeal for worldwide demonstrations this Friday through Sunday to express solidarity with Gaza and Jerusalem. This call comes as Israel, backed by the United States, continues its military operations against Palestinians, which Hamas characterizes as genocidal, amidst what they claim is a lack of international response.

Hamas has called for an intensification of protests and solidarity marches globally, encouraging such actions to be held in central locations, cities, and capitals worldwide.
A call to action has been issued urging Palestinians, along with Arab and Islamic communities and global supporters, to rally from Friday through Sunday in defense of Gaza, Jerusalem, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The appeal seeks to bolster the resilience of the Palestinian people, oppose the occupation’s actions and schemes against their territories, citizens, and sacred sites, and to denounce United States’ backing of these alleged offenses.
The movement has underscored the urgent necessity of employing every available measure to lift the blockade, halt the violence, and put an end to the humanitarian crisis of starvation in Gaza.
Hamas has called for a unified focus on providing support to Gaza, emphasizing the importance of aiding in its recovery and bolstering its endurance.
The organization has urged for unified support with al-Quds and Al-Aqsa, advocating for sustained efforts to highlight and condemn the occupation’s alleged crimes, including the backing from the United States, until the reported aggression and genocide against Palestinians cease.
Furthermore, Hamas has issued an appeal to Arab and Islamic leaders, urging them to assume a historic responsibility in response to what it terms as egregious acts being perpetrated by Israel against Palestinians.
Officials and international stakeholders are urged to implement immediate and decisive measures to cease hostilities, lift the blockade on Gaza, and bolster the resilience of the local population in their homeland, according to statements from regional representatives.
The announcement urged religious leaders and scholars from around the globe to designate Friday as an international day of solidarity with Palestine, Gaza, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa. The initiative aims to bolster Palestinian resilience and defend their land and sacred sites.
“Participants are urged to maintain and escalate mass demonstrations, marches, and sit-ins in the days ahead until the hostilities are halted and the acts of mass violence and genocide are stopped.”
Next Friday marks the observance of International Quds Day, a yearly event established by Ayatollah Seyyed Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This day serves as a symbol of solidarity among Muslims worldwide in support of the Palestinian cause.
Quds Day is commemorated in more than 80 nations worldwide, with significant observances taking place in the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, and Greece.
