Haniyeh Martyred in Blast Caused by Projectile: IRGC
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) confirmed in a statement that the head of the political bureau of the Hamas resistance movement, Ismail Haniyeh, was martyred in Tehran in an Israeli assassination strike with the use of a projectile whose warhead weighed around 7 kg.
In the third statement following the martyrdom of Haniyeh in the wee hours of July 31, the IRGC said on Saturday that the Zionist regime has carried out the assassination attack with support from the “criminal US government”.
Investigations show that the terrorist operation has been carried out by “a short-range projectile with a warhead weighing around 7 kilograms” along with a huge explosion, fired from outside the premises of the guesthouse, the statement added.
The IRGC renewed the pledge to take revenge against the “terrorist and adventurist Zionist regime”, warning that Israel will receive a “harsh punishment” in due time and location with appropriate quality.
