Health ministry calls for int’l action to save Gazans from spreading diseases
The Palestinian health ministry in Gaza has warned that waste pile-up and sewage overflow as a result of Israel’s ongoing aggression against the coastal enclave will lead to a health disaster.
In a statement on Saturday, the health ministry said that diseases are spreading due to the large presence of garbage, overflowing sewage, insects and lizards in Gaza’s neighborhoods and near the tents sheltering displaced families, in the midst of high temperatures.
The health ministry appealed to all international and UN health and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to address the dire health situation in Gaza and save the civilians from the spreading diseases.
