Hezbollah and the Amal Movement voiced their opposition to the presence of Israeli forces in South Lebanon
In a recent gathering held in southern Lebanon, the leadership of the Amal Movement and Hezbollah issued a joint declaration, strongly expressing their unwavering opposition to what they described as Israel's ongoing occupation of any portion of Lebanese land in the southern region.

In a meeting convened in southern Lebanon, the leaderships of the Amal Movement and Hezbollah reiterated their steadfast opposition to Israel’s ongoing occupation of any Lebanese territories in the south.
In a joint statement, the two leaderships expressed condemnation of the continuous incursions by Zionist forces into Lebanese airspace and territory. They called on the sponsors of the ceasefire agreement to enforce compliance with Resolution 1701 by the opposing party.
Officials stressed that one of the primary objectives for the new administration should be addressing the reconstruction efforts following the damage inflicted by Israeli military actions.
The leaderships commemorated the martyrs, the residents of border villages, and all Lebanese citizens who stood resilient against enemy aggression, making the ultimate sacrifices in their steadfast commitment to reclaim every piece of national territory.
This development follows the announcement by the Israeli military that its forces will continue to be stationed at five “strategic points” inside Lebanese territory, extending beyond the deadline for troop withdrawal scheduled for Tuesday.
In light of the prevailing circumstances, Israel will temporarily station a limited number of troops at five key locations along the Lebanese border, according to a statement made by Israeli military spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani to the press on Monday. This move is aimed at safeguarding residents and ensuring there is no immediate threat to security.
In the midst of heightened tensions at the border, the Israeli military’s recent announcement indicates its determination to uphold its presence in Lebanese territory, despite ongoing international appeals for de-escalation.
Despite the announcement from Israel, its military actions persisted in contravening the ceasefire agreement, as forces continued their offensive in southern Lebanon. Reports indicate civilians have been targeted, and Israeli aircraft have frequently breached Lebanese airspace.
The Lebanese Army announced on Wednesday that its forces are actively extending their presence across all southern border towns. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation is accused of failing to meet its obligations and repeatedly breaching Lebanese sovereignty through continuous assaults on Lebanon’s security and its citizens.
