Hezbollah, Syrian Army Capture More Border Crossings in Syria
The Syrian Arab Army in cooperation with Hezbollah and the National Defense Forces (NDF) – has captured the village of Ma’dar on the border of Lebanon and Syria after fierce clashes with militants from the Al-Qaeda linked “Al-Nusra Front” (Jabhat Al-Nusra).
Following the capture of Madar, a contingent of Hezbollah fighters launched a powerful attack on the Al-Nusra Front at Tal Al-Mareejaat, resulting in the subsequent capture of hilly area overlooking Ras Ba’abak in Lebanon.
The recent offensive on the border of Lebanon in the Al-Zabadani District has allowed for the loyalist forces to secure the border-crossings; thus, allowing for the Lebanese Armed Forces to reclaim territory controlled by the Al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) in the ‘Arsaal District.
