Hezbollah’s deputy chief says Operation Aqsa Flood signifies the onset of a transformation in West Asia through resistance

Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, lauded the recent Operation al-Aqsa Flood, initiated by Hamas and various Gaza-based factions targeting the Israeli government. Sheikh Qassem stated that this operation signifies a pivotal shift in the geopolitical landscape of the West Asia region, emphasizing the role of resistance forces in this transformation.

On Tuesday afternoon, during a live televised address from Beirut, he commented on the first anniversary of the extensive and multi-faceted operation.

Sheikh Qassem described “Operation al-Aqsa Flood” as a significant and transformative event in the West Asia region, highlighting the involvement of resistance forces. He referred to the confrontation as “blessed,” suggesting it sets the stage for meaningful change. Qassem accused the Israeli regime of seeking to dismantle the Axis of Resistance and eliminate the Palestinian populace’s ability to resist and advocate for their rights, positioning these actions as a critical aspect of regional dynamics.

He further stated that Israel, the United States, and Western nations are intensifying pressure on Lebanon as a means of exerting intimidation.

In a recent statement, the deputy leader of Hezbollah affirmed the group’s unwavering resolve, citing their commitment to the legacy of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, revered as the “Greatest Martyr” within the Axis of Resistance. While acknowledging the challenges faced in the absence of their former secretary-general, he emphasized that the group’s determination remains unshaken, drawing strength from the enduring influence of their late leader.

He asserted that the United States, along with several European governments, bear complicity in the ongoing crimes occurring in Gaza.

Sheikh Qassem stated that, without the support from the United States, “the Israeli military actions would have ceased within a month.”

Hezbollah is committed to easing the hardship faced by Gaza and ensuring the defense of Lebanon and its citizens, according to recent statements.

Sheikh Qassem asserted that historical evidence demonstrates the Zionist entity poses a threat to both regional and global stability.

He stated confidently that the group remains steadfast and expressed optimism about their eventual success, saying, “We are firm and, God willing, we will win.”

Calls for Unity in Lebanon

He commended Lebanon’s national unity, affirming that Hezbollah holds complete trust in Nabih Berri, the Speaker of Parliament and head of the Amal Movement.
