Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office announced on Saturday that Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem is scheduled to deliver a televised address on Sunday. In his speech, he is expected to discuss recent developments in southern Lebanon, as well as the funeral of the late Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah.

The broadcast of the speech is scheduled to be aired on Al-Manar at 6:30 PM Beirut time this coming Sunday.

In a recent address, Sheikh Qassem praised the large-scale demonstrations that occurred last Sunday, January 26, coinciding with the deadline for Israeli forces to pull out from Lebanon. These significant gatherings compelled the withdrawal of occupying forces from multiple border towns that Israeli troops had approached after the ceasefire was implemented on November 27, concluding a 66-day period of Israeli aggression against Lebanon.

Former Hezbollah leader Sayyed Nasrallah was killed on September 27 in a violent Israeli raid on the southern suburb of Beirut, Dahiyeh. This incident occurred five days after Israel launched its offensive on Lebanon on September 23.
