Houthi forces foil massive Saudi-led offensive on key Yemeni city

The Saudi-led offensive to seize the key city of Mocha in southwest Yemen initially began with some success; however, the latter was forced to retreat after their forces suffered heavy casualties at the hands of the Houthis.
Led by the Southern Resistance and Hadi Loyalists, the Saudi-backed forces entered Mocha today after a fierce battle with the Houthis near the coastal port.
However, once they entered Mocha, the Saudi-backed were unable to maintain control of the areas they captures earlier in the days; thus, they were forced to retreat in order to avoid more casualties.
Today’s Mocha assault marks the second time this year that the Saudi-backed forces have launched a failed offensive to seize one of Yemen’s coastal cities.
