Houthis ready to recommence military activities should ‘israel’ breach the Gaza ceasefire agreement
The leader of Yemen's Ansarullah resistance movement has issued a stern warning, stating that Yemeni forces are prepared to recommence their attacks on Israeli targets if Israel breaches the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumes its military offensive in the blockaded enclave.
In a televised address from Sana’a on Sunday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi issued a warning in light of recent developments in the region. The speech comes as the Israeli government continues to breach the ceasefire in Gaza and executes a major military operation in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
Houthi announced that efforts are underway to closely monitor and ensure compliance with the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, while also keeping a watchful eye on the evolving situation in Jenin and across the West Bank.
He stated that any renewal of hostilities by the Zionist regime would prompt the resumption of their own military actions.
Houthi stated that the United States and Israel pose a threat to global nations, calling for heightened “awareness, responsibility, and action” to counter hostile initiatives.
He emphasized that the Zionist initiative poses a “dangerous and destructive” threat to the Muslim community, urging for solidarity to counteract the strategies implemented by Israel and the United States.
Houthi leaders have issued a statement condemning American and Zionist influences, asserting that these forces are responsible for global conflict and the subjugation of nations. The group emphasized the need for Arab and Muslim communities to recognize that aligning with the U.S. and Zionist regimes would only serve to perpetuate their subordination.
In a statement issued mere hours after Hamas condemned Israel for postponing the enforcement of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, Houthi leaders expressed their views on the situation. This development followed reports of Israeli forces’ actions resulting in Palestinian casualties as individuals attempted to return to northern regions.
The ceasefire implemented on January 19 represents a significant turning point for Gaza, concluding a period of 15 months characterized by extensive destruction that has devastated the region.
The Ansarullah movement has hailed the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas as a result of steadfast resistance amidst what it terms as genocidal warfare and severe aggressions by the Israeli forces.
