Imam Khomeini’s demise anniv. commemorated in Dublin
Iranian Ambassador to Dublin said Sunday ‘Today we are in need of the late Imam Khomeini’s thought and guidelines more than any other time in order to confront the destructive plots of the enemies of Islam.’
Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the 29th demise anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Javad Kachueian said the late Imam Khomeini with his divine ideas changed the course of history and laid the foundations of great upheavals in Iran and the world.
Under present conditions when some immature leaders of the Islamic world through their wrong ideas are introducing Islam as a factor of violence and extremism, it is necessary to review the late Imam Khomeini’s belief that religion rejects violence and extremism.
The Iranian envoy also said the late Imam Khomeini believed that religion had nothing to do with violence and that any attempt to link religion with violence at individual , social and international levels were doomed to fail.
