In a single day, Zionists kill 50 individuals across Gaza, as UNICEF condemns the killing of more than 14,500 children
The zionist military's operations in multiple regions of the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of at least 50 Palestinians over the last 24 hours.
On Saturday, fatalities occurred as a result of Israeli military actions targeting residential structures in Gaza City, with at least 10 individuals losing their lives.
An Israeli strike on a residence in the al-Bureij Refugee Camp, located in the central region of the coastal area, has resulted in the deaths of five additional individuals, among them a journalist and his family.
Gaza’s Civil Defense has reported that at least 90 of its personnel have lost their lives since October of last year. The fatalities are attributed to a comprehensive military campaign launched by the regime, characterized by many as genocidal in nature, across the entire territory.
Israeli aerial forces conducted an airstrike targeting the temporary shelters of displaced Palestinians at al-Dorra Stadium, located west of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. The attack resulted in significant destruction and left several individuals injured.
The ongoing conflict, initiated following a retaliatory operation by Gaza’s resistance movements against long-standing Israeli occupation, has resulted in the deaths of over 44,900 Palestinians. The majority of the casualties have been women and children, highlighting the severe humanitarian toll of the hostilities.
On Saturday, Catherine Russell, the Executive Director of UNICEF, highlighted that the fatalities encompassed over 14,500 children, underscoring the significant impact on young lives.
She appealed for immediate international intervention to stop the ongoing plight of minors, who remain subjected to daily violence, hunger, disease, and harsh conditions amidst the genocide.
Russell conveyed that the international community continued to display indifference as children in Gaza faced ongoing violence and deprivation on a daily basis.
A United Nations representative has urged the Israeli government and influential parties to take meaningful measures to alleviate the suffering of children, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding children’s rights and complying with international humanitarian law requirements.
She specifically highlighted the Israeli assaults on the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in central Gaza that took place on Thursday, which have resulted in the death toll of children in Gaza surpassing 160 over the past month, with an average of four children losing their lives each day.
An official has highlighted the severe threat of famine in northern Gaza, where the regime has significantly escalated its campaign of occupation and siege over the past 71 days.
