Iran Captures 4 Terrorists Involved in Rask Attack
Iran’s Police Chief Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan said on Sunday the country’s security agents have arrested the perpetrators behind the terror attack on the Rask police station in the Southern province of Sistan and Baluchistan last year.
Brig. Gen. Radan stated that Iran’s security forces have managed to identify and detain the four chief elements wanted for the Rask raid.
He added that a number of firearms and devices intended for terror attacks were recovered from the detainees.
Iran’s police forces have received critical information about other elements involved in the deadly raid.
An assault against a police headquarters in Southeastern Iran in mid-December martyred 11 police forces and injured several others.
The Pakistan-based so-called Jaish Al-Adl terror group, which has conducted several bomb attacks and kidnappings in Southeastern Iran in recent years in a bid to disrupt the country’s security, has claimed responsibility for the aggression.
Radan noted that the detention of militants delivered a stinging blow to the notorious terrorist group as they mistakenly believed they were not on the watch.
