Iran declares its ongoing commitment to supporting Syria and other pro-resistance nations in their stance against ‘israel’
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the Islamic Republic will persist in backing Syria and all nations aligned with the resistance in their struggle against the Israeli regime.
During a phone call on Friday with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, Araghchi made a remark. Mekdad took the opportunity to congratulate Araghchi on his new assignment as the top Iranian diplomat.
Mekdad stated that Damascus is determined to enhance its strategic ties with Tehran.
The leading diplomats from Iran and Syria emphasized the importance of continuing mutual discussions to enhance relations across multiple sectors.
Araghchi and Mekdad highlighted the need to oppose the Israeli regime’s aggressive actions and criminal activities, while also advocating for support for Palestine.
The two ministers extended mutual invitations for visits to Tehran and Damascus.
Araghchi: Iran remains committed to supporting Lebanon against Israel
During a phone call with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib on Friday, Araghchi stated that the new Iranian administration plans to increase support for the Lebanese government, people, and resistance against Israeli aggression.
Bou Habib conveyed his congratulations to his newly appointed Iranian counterpart, expressing optimism that the two nations will enhance their collaborative efforts.
The foreign ministers of Iran and Lebanon discussed the recent regional developments, focusing on the Israeli regime’s war crimes in Palestine over the past ten months and its assaults on Lebanon.
Both parties indicated their willingness to keep discussing a range of issues that are of mutual interest.
Since early October last year, Hezbollah and Israel have been engaged in violent exchanges, following the regime’s launch of a devastating assault on the Gaza Strip in reaction to an unexpected operation by the Palestinian Hamas resistance group.
The Lebanese resistance group has pledged to maintain its retaliatory strikes as long as the Israeli government persists in its assault on Gaza.
Hezbollah representatives have consistently stated that they do not seek conflict with Israel but emphasize that they are fully prepared if such a situation arises.
Two conflicts initiated by Israel against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006 faced fierce opposition from Hezbollah, ultimately leading to the withdrawal of Israeli forces in both instances.
