Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has declared Tehran's readiness to extend comprehensive support to Iraq's government, its people, and military forces, underscoring Iran's willingness to assist "to the extent required."
Araghchi, currently visiting Baghdad amid his latest regional diplomatic mission addressing the renewed surge of terrorism in Syria, made his comments following a meeting with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid on Friday.
He stated that their objective is to enhance consultations and coordination to aid both the Syrian government and its citizens, as well as to foster improved alignment on political stances.
He further stated that during discussions with Iraqi officials, the parties intend to address recent developments in Syria, emphasizing that both nations will maintain dialogue to enhance mutual coordination.
The Iraqi President expressed his support for the recent gathering of foreign ministers from Iran, Iraq, and Syria in Baghdad, where discussions centered on the ongoing developments in Syria.
