Iran has most secure airspace in Middle East: Commander
Deputy Commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense for operation affairs Brigadier General Alireza Elhami said that two years ago International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) officially declared Iran airspace is the most secure in the Middle East.
In spite of too many threats, invasions and insecurity in the neighborhood, it is an honor for the country to provide the safest airspace in the Middle East, it added.Following announcement of ICAO, requests to use Iran’s airspace rose three- fold and still there are more such requests.

He made the remarks here in Qom before Friday Prayers sermon and on the occasion of anniversary of establishment of Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Headquarters in 2008 on order of Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to protect space borders of the country.
