Iran successfully tests new armed drone system
Iranian armed forces have successfully tested a new system for operation and launch of armed drones.
Commander of the Iranian Army’s air defense unit in the south of the country said on Monday that the Rasul drone system had been successfully tested during drills held earlier in the day.
“This powerful system will officially join the country’s defense cycle as of today,” said Brigadier General Reza Kalhori.
The announcement came a day after Iranian armed forces received a batch of Majid missiles that are compatible with drones used in the Rasul system.
Military experts say that Rasul, a system that is based on Karrar drones, will boost Iran’s strategic depth beyond its borders.
