Iran unveils advanced operational capabilities of Mohajer-6 and Kaman-12 drones
The Iranian Air Force has effectively executed a series of intricate missions using their state-of-the-art unmanned aerial vehicles, Mohajer-6 and Kaman-12, during a recent military exercise.

The Zulfiqar 1403 military exercise was designed to enhance operational readiness, integrating sophisticated unmanned aerial systems, marking a notable advancement in Iran’s defense strategy. These drones are used for reconnaissance and surveillance along the coastal areas and participate in active combat missions, reflecting a transition towards technology-centric warfare.
Brigadier General Ali Reza Sheikh detailed the recent operations of the Mohajer-6 and Kaman-12 drones, which successfully executed a series of missions, including coastal patrols, target identification, and aerial imaging. These drones also conducted combat maneuvers, notably launching vertical munitions. General Sheikh underscored that these operations—from intelligence collection to coordinated strikes on specific objectives—demonstrate the exceptional accuracy and adaptability of Iran’s drone capabilities.
The drones were deployed to carry out patrols and deliver unbroken coastal surveillance while engaging in strategic reconnaissance activities aimed at identifying potential threats. Beyond their combat functionalities, the Mohajer-6 drones effectively recorded high-resolution aerial imagery and video, serving as crucial resources for tactical decision-making processes. The Mohajer-6 also took part in a synchronized attack operation against a predetermined target, showcasing its capability to operate cohesively alongside other military units.
The recent Joint Zulfiqar 1403 exercise serves as a significant demonstration of the transformative impact of unmanned systems on contemporary military maneuvers. The incorporation of cutting-edge drones into the drills notably enhances Iran’s defensive capacities while simultaneously broadcasting a potent signal of technological superiority to potential adversaries.
