Iran urges int’l forums to react to massacre of Palestinians
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi strongly condemned the ‘unprecedented’ massacre of Palestinian people in Gaza Strip by the Zionist regime on Monday.
The spokesman also called on the international organizations to immediately show reaction to the latest crime of the Zionist regime.
The barbaric and brutal massacre of scores of Palestinians and wounding of thousands of others involved in a peaceful rally to mark the anniversary of the occupation of their homeland by the Zionist regime and to protest against the relocation of US embassy to Quds is strongly condemned, he said.
The killing of innocent and defenseless Palestinian children and women and occupation of Palestinian lands have turned into the main strategy of the Zionists during their 70-year-long record of occupation and today the US embassy staff and the government of that country celebrated the occasion while innocent people were being massacred before their eyes, he said.
The FM spokesman said the relentless crimes of the Zionists in Palestine is the result of Washington’s incessant support (for the Zionist regime) and treacherous compromise of certain governments of the region that are undoubtedly responsible for the blood of innocent people shed today in occupied Palestine and for the sufferings and agonies of this nation.
Voicing the Islamic Republic’s backing of the legitimate struggles and patient resistance of the Muslim people of Palestine, Qasemi called on regional and international forums to immediately condemn the crimes of the Quds occupying regime, send it to an international court to stand trial as a war criminal and adopt quick and decisive measures to prevent recurrence of such crimes, ensure the safety of the Palestinian people and put an end to the siege of Gaza strip.
Qasemi called on Muslim nations and freedom lovers across the world to stage demonstrations and protest gatherings in condemnation of the Zionists’ massacre of Palestinians and of illegal recognition of Quds as the capital of the Zionist regime by the Trump administration.
At least 52 Palestinians were martyred and over 2,000 others wounded when the Zionist forces attacked a peaceful rally of the Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
